To the place where the wind lives -- shaxi

Release Time:2025-10-27

Shaxi Ancient Town is the only remaining market town along the Ancient Tea Horse Road. With a history spanning over 2,500 years, it has been a thriving hub along this historic trade route and is listed among the 101 world architectural heritage sites recognized by the World Monument Fund.

Here, the weathered earthen walls of ancient timber buildings and the winding stone paths resemble an aged painting, radiating a warm, yellowed hue and a sense of timelessness, as if the town itself is a frozen history book of Tea Horse culture. Crisscrossing lanes, meandering streams, and verdant mountains and waters create a pastoral, ancient kingdom landscape, scattered with the poetry of everyday life.
